The Play Development Service provides free open access inclusive play sessions for children and young people aged 5-14 years old across Calderdale in the communities where they live.
Children and young people with disabilities or special needs are particularly welcome, but are required to book on so that their particular needs can be met.
Open Access Play
We do after school inclusive play across Calderdale:
- Monday at Beech Hill Primary School.
- Tuesday at Pellon Network Centre.
- Wednesday at Queens Road Neighbourhood Centre and Ferney Lee Primary School (Todmorden).
- Friday at Field Lane Porta Cabin (Rastrick).
We deliver inclusive schemes in the above locations across Calderdale.
For details of the latest activities, see: Do Something! Play schemes.
We work on an open access basis. This means that although children and young people are supervised, they stay the responsibility of the parent or guardian. These are free to come and go as they please.
We offer a variety of free play activities that are chosen by children and young people. These can get messy, so please come in clothes that suit the activities and weather.
