To provide a service to the people of Calderdale who have a physical and associated disabilities through a range of services – both building and community based. We do this through a range of vocational, educational and recreational programmes which are based around individual aspirations. This is part of our person centred approach with the individual setting the goals and targets. We also provide volunteering opportunities and support, assisting people into employment and voluntary work.
Why the community needs us
We provide a range of services for people with disabilities including people with complex needs across an all age spectrum. – Supported activities including IT, Cooking, Gardening, Arts and Crafts, literacy, numberacy and other independent living skills. – Alternative therapies,personal,shopping, cleaning – Laundry – Day/night sitting – Holiday Services – Aim High Scheme supporting young people – Pathways Group
Our impact on the community
Promotes independent living gives people a chance to lead an active live and also be active citizens in their community. Gives people choices about how to live their life. Supports them to feel a valued citizen.
